Sad, when Izabel was born My sister n law got me a stroller car seat combo. Now today the insurance guy calls. Not my insurance guy, but the guy for the lady that ran into us. They said Since Izabel car seat was in a reck and though nothing happen to her or the seat we have to give it to the people who are holidng are car and get ride of it. I dont want to buy a new Car seat but I will for the safety of my baby. I didn't want to break up the set.

They think They will have to total out are car. I told my husband I don't want a car has to be another SUV. The police officer siad if it hadnt been for us being in an SUV my husband woiuld of been dead or hurt from the waste down.

From Good to bad.

I was so happy that it was christmas and I got to spend it with my Baby girl Izabel.. I couldnt wait for Travis to get home fromt he airport where he works. I figured he change, then I'd wake the baby up feed her and change her. Then after we load up the car with all the presents we would go to Grandmas house for christmas. Life dosn't always work the way you want it too. So, don't ask me how Izabel First christmas went.

We where on are way to Travis mother house after wook. You know he work at the airport so he dosn't get a holilday off unless it falls on one his days off. Anyway light was green so we were going north and a lady decied to go 50mph in a 30mph going east, ran the red light and hit us on the driver side and totaled Our car. We Spent Christmas in the Emergency room. Me and Izabel are ok. Travis Broke his right hand and has cut and bruises all over. Lucky Izabel is a baby and wont remember this, but it scared the living crap out of me. Travis had to break his door open to get out of the car. The airbags both went off. I was so scared, never been so scaredin my life. Wasnt for my life it was for Izabel life. Lucky Izabel sits on my side of the car not behind daddy seat. A 77 year old women was driving the other car. Her car is totaled also, the whole front end is gone. So What a christmas. So when people ask me how Izabel liked he first christmas this is all I can think ab0ut

ABC

On christmas Eve we let the kids open one present. So Izabel got to open her present form her Grandma and Grandpa. It was so cute I had to post a picture of it.The abc caterpilla is bigger then Izabel. I think it mesaured at 4 ft tall the length of her crib or something like that.

Did I ever tell you that moving sucked. We been moving as much as we can each day. It not easy with a 10 1/2 month old baby and having to move around my husband work schedule. We never knew we collected so much stuff or should I say junk. We werent able to paint any the rooms but the kitchen and it still not finshed. I will post pictures later.

Hello again.

Sorry havent posted lately. We been in the proccess of buying our first home. Now it not a big home. Just 3 bed 1 bath. But the lot it on is big enough that we can build a second bathroom or a dinning room. It will be ours. No more living in my inlaws second house.

Also. We will be 5 minutes from Travis work. Right now he is 30 minutes away and that burns alot of gas. When gas was expensive we were were paying 45-65 dollars every week and half.

Right now we signed all the paper work and the seller (bank owned) has excepted our offer. Since it a bank owned (VA HOme) we are waiting on Va to send the paper work to the bank so we can close. We wnted to close by Thanksgiving but that dosnt seem like it goign to happen unless we get a miracle monday or tuesday.

Long they dont want to close dec 15-19 cause we will be out of town. We been playing our trip for 6 months.

So Pray that we can close soon on our house. We are ready to go paint, clean popcorn off cleanings, get curtains and move in.

9 months check up

We Went to the doctors today for Izabel 9Th month Check up. Anyway it seems no matter what we do our doctor is called to the hospital. She great but always busy. Today she had to go in and do a blood transfusion for a baby. Baby was brought in 30 minutes for are appointment. So again we had to wait.

Izabel is up to 27 inches long and 15.` oz in weight now. She can semi crawl more of a roll and scoot but there a crawl kind of in there. She can sit up on her own now if she wants. She will also stand u p if holding on to mommy or daddy hands. My baby is growing up so fast.

She got two teeth on the bottom front comming though. I mean you can see the white of the teeth now. Her top teeth on the front look good too the doctor says. She say the gums is almost gone which means a tooth is ready to come in. Since Izabel likes to eat Mash potatoes and pizza crust. The doctor thinks that we should move her up to Gerber stage 3 foods. She still on the hypoallergenic formula still. It the best formula for her. She get about 7 oz ever 2-3 hours.

Oh yeah I forgot to tell you she got part 1 of her flue shot today. Since she so little she get half now and half next month.

We been fighting our insurance company they wont pay for the RSV shoot. They say we don't have the fun or the deductible even thought we got a 4k deductible. It crazy that they would Deny a child something that they think she needs. So lucky since she was born in Colorado she also go Medicaid as her secondary and the doctor going to push it though. Good bless the State for when your insurance company is stupid.

All in all I think she is doing good for starting out so small and wouldn't eat.

BEES

I know it not great to let kids watch tv. One day I had Izabel in one those Dougant lookign chairs where she can bounce up and down. She can stand up or sit. She has all these things on there to play with. Anyway The Bee Movie came on and she turned around and watch the whole things. If I try to turn the channel or if i try to turn the tv off while that movie is on she crys. I don't know what it is about Bee she likes, but she loves this movie. Anway My husband ran to Best Buy to help his sister pick out a lap top for school and work. He comes home with the Bee Movie. My daughter saw the cover and went crazy she was bouncing up an down and trying to grab the movie case. She wont sit though most movies she normaly get boards and want mommy or daddy to play with her or pick her up. At 9 months old she loves the Bee movie.

New Toy

Travis got me and him an early christmas present. Well few months early. We got a Lap top. Very nice one too. He also looking at getting a new camara before we got to Vegas in December. I've been waiting a Lap Top for some time now. He says the Lap Top for all the trips were going to take in the future. Plus once we w have more money again. He wants to get a second one so we each have one.

For some reason my digital camra wont hold the charge on the battiers so that why we were looking for a new camara, but end up getting a lap top. Never had a Lap Top before sure is differnt then a desktop computer.

Gotta go Hubby be up soon for work and gotta get his stuff ready.

I know this isnt my normaly post, but remember that everyone who lost somoene on this tragic day are in our thoughts and prays and will never be forgoten.

I was at home asleep when it happen. I lived in Oregon at the time. My ex woke me up and said something has hit the twin tower. I jumped out of bed and said holy shit. I couldn't belive it. I always heard of things like that. I just never thought somehting like this would happen in America.
God always says things happen for a reason even if we don't understand them. People will always wonder why did they have to die. It wasn't there time. Same thing I ask God everyday why did he have to take my father when I waws 11 years old. Now he will never know his granddaughter. I tell her that grandpa loved hes her so much that he sent her to me to watch over me since he can't. I dought I will ever get over his death but it makes it easier to move on. I know it been 20 years, but still feels like yesterday.

Trip

So we deiced to go to Las Vegas again this year( 3rd time). Some friends of my husband from work are going in December and ask if we go with them since they never been. So this will be the first time i spend the whole day away from Izabel since she left the hospital. Even when she was in the hospital I sent several hours a day with her.
So we been taking Izabel to her Grandma and Grandpa Felton house every Wednesday to get use to it. Two of her cousin live there. Airel 15 and Aurora 16. Airel will be helping Grandma and Grandpa look after Izabel for, 4 days. Izabel Is a good baby except at bedtime. She has to be really tired or doesn't like to sleep unless she in my bed. Sometimes all it takes is for her to cry for about 5-10 Minutes.
I'd love to take her, but you cant do much with a kid in Vegas.
Next year if we can save up the money were going to go to Disney World in December. Izabel will be almost 2 and should be walking. She can rind the Kidd rides with Me. I can't get on the big fast rides as they make me sick. So I figure I'd hang with her.

Travis is a big Redskins fan so I thought we dress Izabel up in an outfit. Look how cute she looks for 7 months old.

JUly 22-24

Izabel had 3 doctor appointments this week. First one was to look at her head. We already had the MRI and they showed her brain is fine. Her head just is growing to one side. She likes to left side so her head was shaped to that way. He said just keep working on her neck and get her to lay on he right side of her ha. It should start to go back in a few months and by 2 years of age be perfectly normal.
Second doctor appointment was for her head tongue. The pedictrican said she is tongue tied. Which can make it difficult for her to use a kids cup or a bottle right. Even to take a spoon of food. Later when she learns to talk she could have speech problems. So we went to see a doctor that deals in ears/moths, about her tongue. After looking it over and talking to use he felt that it was necessary to cut the skin under her tongue. Now Izabel can stick out her tongue.
Third doctors appointment was for Izabel 6 month Well baby check up and her shots.

Crib

We Finlay got Izabel Crib up. It's a 4-1 She can use it till she ready for a Full size bed and even then she can use the back board with her bed. She thinks it a toy at the moment and rolling around in it. Should I say scooting.

I Still need to find a betting set with a crib linner. She like to stick her legs thought the slats of the bed. The pooh stuff is just stuff I had around the house. Hopefuly I can find a Minnie Mouse Bedding set she loves Minnie Mouse.

Izabel Update.

This month has been busy. Either Izabel has a doctor appointment somewhere or I have a densit appointment. It seem like my husband dosn't get a day off. I realy do need to learn to drive. IT not the driving that scares me so much as the idiots on the road. Just the other day on the way to work m husband watch a drunk driver kill a baby in the passanger back set when he a monther and child car. My relfex arent so good and I don't want to take any chances. So I just never tried to get my drivers liscense. I probley should cause one day my husband not going to be around sad to think about.

Anyway we got Izabel test back. She does have GERD

Gastro-Esophageal Reflux (GER) causes severe heartburn pain when milk and stomach acid flow backwards up into the esophagus. Normally, gravity keeps breast milk or formula in the stomach, but when a baby lies flat, the stomach contents are allowed to “reflux” back into the esophagus. During sleep, this acid irritation will cause frequent night waking, pain, excessive spitting up, and restless sleep patterns

The did the Upper GI and found she has several epposide of reflux. Now she on medication Prevacid solutabs. She takes half a pill in the morning and half a pill in the afternoon. I Cant tell if it upseting her stomach or if the pain she is having now is from one of her teeth startign to come in. The bottom left is about to pop is so should could be hurting her.

The MRI Came back clean other then they noticed that her head is Misshapen and might need to wear a helmet. I noticed it when Travis ask med this. Does her head look flat in the back? It is caused when your bbay sleep on it back. They tell you not to put a baby on it stomach cause it can cause SIDSm, but there are other side effects to that. Here are some the warrning sings.

the back of the head is flattened on the same side that the forehead is more prominent
the ear on the side of the occipital flattening (at the back of head) can be larger and advanced forward, compared to the other ear
the jaw can be asymmetric, with an upward slant on the same side as the shortened muscle
facial asymmetry, with one cheek appearing more full and one side of the forehead appearing more prominent than on the other side

Some times they say a baby can get torticollis. Torticollis is when a baby can't move its head from side to side, But Izabel can move her neck.

They say that if significant head asymmetry is present at six months, helmet therapy is necessary to correct the head shape.

"The correction of head asymmetry with helmet therapy is based on head growth -- the normal rate of growth slows at around one year of age, so we have a window of opportunity when the baby is between six months and one year old,"


With All the problems that Izabel is going though makes me wonder am I a good mother. Did I do somethign while I was carrying her that caused her to be bron early and have all these probelms.

Thank god for Insurance and Medicade. WIthout it we be in trouble.

June 5 2008

Well, we had to get Izabel a new doctor today. I never really like the old doctor anyway. He never seem to know what he was doing anyway. He always said let me ask the other doctor. Plus he said he was switching jobs in this area. He seemed like he was just a general all around doctor and didn't know much about kids. So today was Izabel first time with her new doctor. I thought thinks were going so well. We got there at 9:30 for her 9:45 appointment. Did the paper work. at 10:00 they called us back and they did her weight and height. She is 11 pounds now 23 inches long with a 3 1/2 foot. Then they take us to another room as say the doctor will be right with you. An hour late the doctor finally comes in the room. I guess one her other patients deiced at the last meet to bring in a 9-20 page pack of information that she need filled out right then and there. She like I am getting on plane at 4pm to go to Washington Dc. Can you fill out the paper work now. Normally people give you weeks to fill it out and send it to your new doctor. Nope this lady was kinda rude. She now made the doctor make all her patients wait. It was kind upsetting. Made me want to leave having to wait so long. Izabel was getting tired and hungry. She did eat at 8:30 am, but by 11 she was getting hungry. The doctor did apologize but when a baby is hungry and tried what do they do. She screamed her head off. I mean she screamed so loud it made your ear drums hurt.

We did find out things that we didn't know before. One the doctor doesn't think she need physical therapy for her head. Oh did I tell you about her head yet? I can't remember so if I didn't I will tell ya again. Izabel likes to sleep on her left side her head. She can turn her neck from side to side but doesn't like to when sleeping. So her head is forming more towards one side. Where trying to get her to sleep on the other side and now and then she will. The new doctor wants to do a MRI to make sure everything is forming OK in there and that with time her head will forum OK. We don't want to do physical trophy on her head if we don't have to. Plus the old doctor said she had a condition where she couldn't move her head from side to side. She moved her head all the time so i know he was wrong. I never liked him but he was one the few doctors that would take medicare and until are insurance came in it what we had to go with.

Now the new Doctor also wants to schedule a Upper GI. She thinks Izabel might be not be sucking her bottle properly and swallowing her milk and spiting it back up in her mouth. Which can cause problems in her esophagus. She also gave us new formula to try cause Izabel get real gassy at night and doesn't sleep though the night yet and she almost 5 months old. New formula is for gassy and Fussy babies.

Did I also mention that Izabel has two top and two bottom teeth right under the gum line waiting to come in. So on top of everything else she could be teething soon.

I hope that this all works and that Izabel gets better and becomes a healthy and happy baby.

4 Months Old

Well we took Izabel to her 4 Month check up. She healthy. She up to 10 pounds 4 oz. and 22 inches long. She only wants to sleep on one side of her head and not the other. Even when I try to move her so she will sleep on the left side she finds a way to to get on the other side. The back of her head is flat also. I try to sit her up but all she does bob her head up and down and fall over. The doctor is concered about her neck muscles. The doctor may have us take her to physical theorphy before there nothing we can do about her head and neck.
Is she suppose to hold her head up at 4months old. I am a new monther I dont know what to do. Is it somethign I am doign wrong. I know she was born 6 weeks early so she might devleop slower then normaly , but she is growing fast.

On the other hand he has her on rice cereal with formual and her bottle still. At 5months old we get to start her out on carrots and all the other orange vetegables. One thing I do know is get your kid to love your vegetables or they will never learn to eat them. My mom tried her best but my dad never forced it on me and today i am very pickey eater. I don't want my daugther to be that way. Somes times in the last 2 days she will eat her cereal and sometimes she wont. I don't think she likes the spoon in her mouth, but I am hoping in time she will get use to it.

Izabel

Wow time flys. Seems just like yesterday I was doing laundry and my water broke and I didnt even know it. It wasnt till hours later that the pain set in and I clued in that my water broke and that I was in labor. Now I have this 4 month old baby who depends on me for everything. From Beeing feed to be loved to be held. For everything.It makes life all worth it once you have a baby. This is little light form that needs you and you need them. Izabel is my angel sent from heven. I am so glade everyday that she is here with me. I love you Izabel Rainha Felton.

Pregent

It seems only like yesterday that my husband said I think your pregent. I am the women you would think I would know if I was pregent or not. My Body I should know these things, but I was clueless. Its been 5 years of trying and not trying how could I be pregent. You would think if I was going to get pregent I would of gotten pregent by now.
My frist and second trimestors i was sick well only part of the second trimestor. For while there I was living off Peanut Butter sandwiches. If I even tried to eat anythign else I would get sick. I spen many times in the bathroom. Why do they call it morning sickness anyway. You get it when ever. Morninng/afternoon/evening or late evening. Then the prental Vitaminas didnt help either. They made me even sicker.
I told my husband I will have one more kid. If it a girl wil call it Jazmon Marie. If it a boy Traivs Ontario( middle name after my dad). Where going to wait till Izabel about 1 year old and try. Traivs is almost 38 we dont want to wait too long. After that I am done. I love my daughter and I want to give her a brother or sister. I have 3 sisters but they grew up with there other parent. One lived with her dad and 2 lived with there mom and I never got close to them. I felt loney with my mom never home and me have to fend for myself lots of time. Don't get me wrong she was a good mother. She did the best she could with what we had. She even took me to Disneyland when I was 11. I want to take my kids to Disneyworld when there about 5 years old. I think 5 and up kids realy start remmebering things you do with them.
